Studio B Dance Center

This is a wonderful dance studio! My 2 and half year old daughter started there this year. She LOVES her weekly classes. The staff is friendly and offer a light-hearted and age-appropriate class where the toddlers are learning to be comfortable moving their bodies and listening to instructions in addition to the very basics of ballet. The one-way window into the classroom is great - you can watch your child dance without your presence distracting the children. A great place for your child to get introduced to dance!

This is a great dance studio. My preschool daughter started last school year. It was her first time doing a class without me. The teachers are warm and friendly but still maintain structure and discipline in the classroom. They are extremely flexible and knowledgeable. My daughter also attended a week of camp there and she loved it. I already signed her up for next year. I love how the recitals are set up for younger children. They are only 30 minutes long so the little ones do not have to sit through a long performance. Both Ms. Katie and Ms. Shannon are excellent teachers. The Nancies (there are two women both named Nancy on administrative staff) are both great and take time to explain any questions you may have. The parking is not an issue if you arrive early, which you should do anytime you have a scheduled activity anyway. I usually arrive about 10-15 minutes early and always find a parking space. By the time my daughter puts her street clothes back on it's not busy getting back to the car either. I definitely recommend.

I had to share my thoughts because I think the move to the new studio is 100% improvement. The new waiting room allows for me and my younger child to sit comfortaby and watch my daughters class. Her teacher is kind and caring and challenges her at the same time. Her recital costume is beautiful and perfect for her age. (4yrs) The office staff is available and always accomodating making our weekly dance class a great experience for me as well as my child. I highly recommend Studio B and look forward to many wonderful years with them.

My daughter is 4 years old and this is her 2nd year with Studio B. About two weeks ago, they moved to a different location which has no parking and is much saller than the last studio. This makes for dropping off and picking up your kids a nightmare. With traffic right off a main road, it is dangerous trying to get my kids to class. Also, the fact that parents risk getting a ticket every time I take my child to dance is ridiculous. They touted the benefit of this new studio is that you can see your child dance through this screening room, but unfortunately, they can see you too! So you have several four year olds waving to mommy and daddy instead of dancing. Being able to see them dance did have its benefits though. I was able to see how she is being taught - by sixteen year olds who look like the last thing they want to do is teach dance. It broke my heart to see a class of beautiful happy four year olds being taught by "teachers" who lack energy and enthusiasm.



My daughter will not be attending Studio B next year. In fact, I'm on a search with several other moms that currently have children in Studio B to find a better dance school who will accept students mid way through the year. Studio B is clearly out to make a dollar and does not care about their patrons as evidence by the new studio, the quality of teachers and attitude of the staff.

I wasn't happy with this studio. The price is pretty reasonable, however, you are not allowed to watch your little one perform unless its on a 3 second screen on a tv that is always switching rooms. You are lucky to get a smile out of the staff, and under no circumstances should you ask to sneak a picture of your child dancing. They don't let you know when your time is up (weeks-wise), only charge you after the fact. My child was not happy with it and even wanted to skip out classes. Overall I would not recommend this place to a friend and would not be going back.

my kids love it. Their teachers are warm and friendly, and create a nurturing enviorment. The office staff was extremly knowledgable in guiding my daughters to find the right class for each of them. The recitals are the perfect length and ran like a broadway show. I would recommend this dance school for any child at any level.
