I have been collecting coins for 40 years and needed some quick cash due to being laid off from work, I determined the value of the coins I brought to Belmont Coin and Jewelry and was offered 1/4 of the amount. I was expecting half as they have to make a profit, but when offered only $16 each for MS-60 (an employees own grading) common date Morgan dollars and only $30 each for several 1921 Peace dollars that were a grade F-12 condition, I knew that I was in the wrong place. Sure enough, I went elsewhere and was offered 50% more for these coins.

I had four pieces of gold jewelry with diamonds no longer wearable but very important to me emotionally. They recast them into a beautiful ring with the stones which makes for a perfect piece which can be worn all the time. Very timely and excellent work. And a kind and compassion staff who understood what I needed and was looking for.

I took coins here to have them evaluated. The staff blew me away with their knowledge, & were extremely helpful.

I arrived close to closing time and was still able to get what I came for. The price was reasonable. The service was very good and friendly. I would recommend this place over any other in town I've been to.

After having the most awful experience ever at International Diamond Jewelers, I went to this shop to sell some jewelry. The other shop did nothing but tell me lie after lie and did its best to rip me off. However, Belmont Coin Shop at 2749 Wilmington Pike in Dayton was much different. I appreciate very much their business ethics and honesty. They were instantly upfront and honest and paid a fair price for my jewelry. There were absolutely no games played. The other place we went to lied and said they couldn't confirm my 18K gold ring. However, Belmont used the same gold testing device that I saw the other place use, and they were able to confirm that it was indeed 18K gold. The other place would only offer money based on it being 10K gold, yet this place was honest and offered money based on what it really was. I can't say enough good things about Belmont Coin Shop. They truly run a decent business and will not rip you off. I will definitely patronize them in the future, as I like the things they sell, and now I know that they will always be fair with me.
