Quality Roofing replaced the roof on my neighbor's house. This resulted in scraps of tar paper, bits of shingles, nails, plastic, and a razor blade in my yard. I know construction can be a messy business, but if a worker can clean up the property they're working, can't they take five minutes to clean up after themselves on the adjacent property? I was cleaning up after the crew two days in a row. And I have pictures of the piles of material. I haven't received so much as an apology from this company. But they did try to make up lame excuses, telling the homeowner when he relayed my complaint that his crew didn't purposefully dump anything on my property. That's not the issue! Doing a good job includes not pissing off the people near where you're working.Finally, this may sound like a minor issue to some, but if they cut corners cleaning up, what corners did they cut checking the roof sheathing, or in the flashing, venting, underlayment, or shingles?
